I need to filter out blue light for some experiments. Will any orange light bulb do?
Or do I need very specific features? Orange light can block out blue light. How do I know if the orange light bulb is producing the right color light to effectively block out most blue light? What would be the best light bulb for doing this?
Billruss: I mean, will the orange coating on the bulb filter out blue light produced by the filament so it doesn’t shine through the bulb, while letting all the other colors shine through? Thanks.
Light can’t block out other light, no matter the color.
You can only do this with a filter, colored glass or plastic.
