why does my car make a whistling noise when i punch it?
Well i have a 2006 Acura Rsx Type S and lately when i punch it i hear a whistling noise and when the rpm goes higher the whistling noise gets louder. i dont know what it is, when i am in a closed area i hear some air escaping from like the clutch area because when i am in neutral i hear the air and then i apply the clutch and it stops. so what can it be? i dont have money to take it to different places to get it checked.
huh…. is it a whistle from air escaping (could be a hole in a hose) or is a whirling mechanical noise resonating from the transmission. if its the second one its probably a tranny bearing
