Cold Rugby Compression

Should i wear long tights (skins) or short skins while playing rugby?

Im playing rugby with just a cantebury under shirt, with my rugby shirt on top but its getting really cold like 2 degrees C and im just wondering if i should buy long tights or short tights skins. My friends think that its slightly gay wearing tights while playing rugby (which is slightly true) but he says they’ll keep you really warm, as well as that apparently skins compression clothing helps with muscle recovery. So should i get short (knee high) tights or full length tights (made by SKINS) ?

Don’t worry about the “slightly gay” aspect of long tights. You wouldn’t be the only guy who wears them for rugby. Wear what works best for you on a given day. The short tights are good when you need additional warmth, and the long tights when you need even more warmth. Ideally, you’d have both and choose based on the weather. If you have to choose one or the other, I guess it depends on whether you’d rather be a little too warm sometimes (with long tights) or a little too cold sometimes (with short tights). Personally, I like the full coverage of the long tights and would get those.
