How do you deal with homophobia in society your whole life without going crazy?
I mean I just realized that if you’re gay/bi, which I am…you’re going to get it your whole life,..pretty much. not ALL the time and not everywhere, but..it will happen. Now…option A is, conform, be more str8 etc…and option B is, be WHO YOU ARE, f them.
I chose B…so I guess I have to put up with the consequences, but it beats selling yourself out and your soul out to conform to the masses just to fit in ….(among a buncha people who suck anyways lol)
But I mean..it gets annoying. Like today i walked into a store and was nice to this mother with her teenage kid, and he just laughed at me and went “gayyyyyyyyyy”.
I’m thinking ya know what….I was being nice to these people and then I get THAT?
This technically isn’t even a “gay” issue, its a humanity issue. Humans treat each other like dirt for no reason…
so how do we handle that our whole life without going nuts and being angry….? lol.
There are many stupid and nasty people out there. You have to just get over it. As I once heard: “being gay isn’t for wimps”. I am lesbian and have heard my share of sniggers and gossip about me. I have only become even more motivated to succeed in life…
