Door Anchor Strap

Does anyone own a Toyota Echo Hatchback (3 door) in Australia and can you put 2 carseats in it?

I have a 2004 Toyota Echo Hatchback (3 door). I have 1 carseat already installed in there for my 13 month old but I’m expecting baby #2 in 4 weeks time and was wondering if I can put a 2nd carseat in there. I think I’ll probably need an extension belt so that the strap can reach the anchor point at the back of the car. I will be buying a bigger car soon enough but initially I have to make-do with the smaller one for the moment. Thanks for your replies.

Ok, no point saying you need a bigger car because obviously you know, but for now, I think you can get 2 car seats in. But you need to make sure its a Compact size. I just bought a great car seat, (mothers choice, Zuzu) and that is for newborns to 18kg. Its compact, adn even states on the box its a good seat for small cars. You may need to get another anchor point installed though, but Im not sure. My sister has a Echo hatch, so I think another wil fit, but you wont have much more room available. Hope this helps.
