Folding Treadmill
recommend a not so expensive treadmill that folds?
I’m desperately looking for a treadmill to shed those extra pounds. It’s more convenient to have on in my apt. I want one that works good and that I can easily fold under the bed when I’m done because I live in an apartment. I know the more you pay the better, but there has to be some good inexpensive ones out there?
You’re right–the more you pay, the better.
Do you want to run or walk on your treadmill? Do you weigh over 250 pounds? These are 2 major considerations when choosing a treadmill.
I bought a Proform from Sears (see http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10153_12605?keyword=treadmill. for the treadmills that Sears offers). My (muscular) husband weighs 250 pounds, so we had to get one to accommodate him. Our treadmill goes up to 10 mph, so we can run on it.
Go to Sears (or a comparable store) and try the treadmills out. The salespeople, who probably get commission, will be happy to help you.
Expect to spend at least $500 on your treadmill. Anything cheaper will have to be replaced sooner or at least will break down just after the warranty expires. I have personally burned out 2 motors on a treadmill from using the treadmill for an hour daily.
Now may be a good time to choose a treadmill, since so many stores are having Christmas sales.
