Gps Watch Heart
What running watch can you recommend?
I am going crazy looking for a watch that that meet my requirements. Some have some of the functions, some have others, but non seem to match all. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I would like a watch that can;
– measure the time of my run – start to finish (simple stopwatch)
– Tell me , in real time,how far into my run i am in distance (not a step counter). I imagine gps for this.
– Take my splits for each km.
- ideally be able to show me on a map online what my time was at certain points of my run (e.g every km)
– tell the time !
heart monitor is not fundemental
all this but without costing the earth!!
Sorry, any watch like that will cost a lot. A whole lot.
I’ve always found it is better to go low-tech. Plan your run in advance, using either your car or google earth to measure the route. Then buy a $6 Walmart watch to time yourelf with. Keep in mind, a running watch is going to take some abuse – soaked in sweat, often gets scratches on its face, etc. Its much easier to replace a cheapo watch than something thats so advanced you had to finance it!
Go to a running specialty store, either in your town or online, and look at the prices you’ll be dealing with.
