Karate Ball Bag
Jammed Finger? PLEASE answer. it hurts?
At my private school we go to a local karate place for P.E. today we played dodgeball. i was bending over to get a ball that was beside a punching bag and i got shoved from behind and my middle finger hit the hard, plastic, bottom part of the bag straight on. it hurts sooo bad to bend it. is it jammed? if it is what can i do about it? thank you.
i can move it but it hurts. i dont think its broken. what can i do if it is jammed other than ice?
Here’s what happened:
Your bone was bent in an unnatural way, and since it was unnatural, the neurons (nerve cells) in the area reacted. If the bone is not bent the right way and kept that way, you will continue to feel a throbbing pain. If your whole finger is swollen, you’ve broken a bone/joint, so you should see a doctor. If the only the place where the pain is coming from is swollen, then you don’t need to worry.
Here’s what to do:
Put some medical tape (sort of like sticky cloth that’s sterile) around the area of pain to right the bending joint. run it under lukewarm water for a while, and then cold water. that should ease the pain. If the pain persists, see a doctor.
