Kicking Kickboxing Punching
Can someone explain to me the difference between Karate and Kickboxing?
I am in wrestling for my high school and I play hockey. I have been wanting to do Martial Arts for a long time now but now I’m really serious about it.
I want to do something with more of a hands on combat, and I understand that kickboxing is like just fighting but with fancy kicks and fancy punches, but can someone explain to me what Karate is? I am very interested.

i would say kickboxing is one of the least fancy martial arts
probably almost number 1
there are fancy techniques but i can guarantee you wont be learning them any time soon
karate is more of a discipline art and is more fancy and less practical than kickboxing
boxing or kickboxing would be a nice place to start off
and dont think that just because kickboxing has boxing in its name it means it encompasses all of boxings techniques and uses
id say kickboxing or boxing would be perfect for you
but then again only you can decide that try out a few gyms see if theres on you like
and please dont be one of those faggots that deveolps a complex over this
the only good thing you learn from wrestling that can be applied to an mma fight would be takedowns and takedown defense

try that against anyone in mma and your completely assss fucked
