Leather Speed
Reoccurring High Speed Dream. This dream feels so real. It feels important.?
I am in a fictional car, alone, driving down a dark road at night. There is no sound except the roar of the engine. It is clearly a V8 and it growls a strong and sublte tone as I wind through the corners, up and down through the gears.
I recognize this car to be a TransAm, but in reality I know this car was not. It is solid black, black leather, black wheels, 6 speed, black windows, and totally evil.
As I drive, I recognize the road to be Old Decoursey Pike, a local road, except the trees are not right, they were a Japanese species. They at first seem just dark and overshadowed but as I drive, the leaves change through many shades of purple and eventually to a brite pink almost white glow.
The entire dream I seem to be racing faster than should be possible but seem calm and exact. My movements are precise and the car doesn’t slip or hesitate. At one point there is someone with me, but they vanish just as they appeared, and that point is when the trees glow white. I seem purposeful.
In my experience, dreams that are meaningful tend to be metaphors of life (elements of the dream symbolize elements of life).
