who are the gracies trying to fool?
now i see these videos of bjj vs karate or judo ect ect, but vale tudo isnt a proper street fight, if groin kicks are allowed bjj would be stuffed same as kneck strickes and finger strikes
and they wouldnt want to stay in jail for a stupid macho pride bs thing
im saying this as the fights i saw were just stupid
i did bjj and still practice it, but i dont agree with the gracies on the level that bjj is the best, it has major flaws

Well Ash I have always been of the opinion too that they are media overated and no style or art is better than another it always comes down to the individual fighter and I know you already know this from past discussions and posts.
Ken Shamrock in his prime fought Gracie several times and their were losses, draws and wins and I have seen a video where hoyce nearly dies being chocked out in a fight, so no they are not the best, they are just very good. THAT no one can deny. They are good practioners of the art, but no none is the best, we all have another better than us somewhere.
I Remember a time when the only full contact fighting legal was Kick boxing and Muay Thai all these UFC’s, Pride etc did not exist then. So popularity has helped with their current status. Time will show them no better or worst than any other event IMO.
