how to take a schwinn recumbent bike apart?
My indoor Schwinn recumbent bike 226 is starting to act up. When I pedal, no matter what the magnetic resistance is, it begins to catch.. kinda like it’s sticking. I need to open up the case to see inside to figure out what’s wrong but I’m not too sure how to do this without damaging the case.
The case was preassembled before I put the rest together so I have no idea how to take it apart. I know where the screws are and can get those out easily but the metal bars where the pedals attach aren’t budging. I need to know how to remove the case once I remove the actual pedals (just where your feet go, not the bars that attach that to the bike). Myself and my dad have tried but I can’t find anything online showing how to remove it. Also, I am aware I should just contact Schwinn and have a repair person come out to look at it but I don’t have the warranty anymore so I wouldn’t be able to pay for the repairs. Thanks

I also checked Youtube to see what was there. Nothing seemed useful.
