Pad Muay
Any suggestions/places to learn to hold pads?
I am doing Muay thai at a local gym and I occassionally hold the pads for others, however, I was wondering if anyone knew of any sghts to learn better combos/pad holding techniques to get more from the pads?
Don’t lock out your elbows or hold the pad so that it can be driven into your head/face.
Other than that you’re pretty much only limited in terms of combos to what you can think up. Consider your techniques and just call them out for your partner to do; vary the height and angle so the same strikes don’t hit in the same place every time.
You could also ask your instructor, if he’s worth anything he should be able to give you some basic ideas for combos and tips for holding the pads.
