Punch Pads
Can somebody with no experience in Muay Thai hold pads for somebody who does?
My room mate said he will hold the pads for me for a few hours a day as a warm up for me before I go to a training session, but he isn’t experienced in Muay Thai.
I only do simple combos on the pads and I basically had to explain what to do whith them so I can punch them.
Is this a bad idea?
I don’t think so. Be patient with your room mate. Explain for him what you need. In part you need to train him to help you train. This could be a great thing because it will help you to think through your training sessions and pay close attention to details you otherwise might miss.
I have trained many a work out partner in pauk sau and chi sau drills just to have a work out partner.
A few have tanked me for the opportunity to learn something new.
