what type of boxing glove is good for beginners?
Im gona start boxing for cardio and I notice some gloves are bulky, ‘thicker’ or bigger and others are smaller with less padding.
I will mostly use it to punch a boxing bag or I might think about getting a trainer who will hold pads while I punch it.
Any suggestions or how boxing gloves are categorized in terms of use?

there are two different kids of gloves i think your talking about.
you have bag gloves which are the thinner, lighter less padding gloves – strictly used for punching boxing bags or pads/focus mitts they look like this http://www.robbinssports.com/sporting-goods-store/images/everlast-boxing-high-performance-pro-bag-gloves.jpg
then there’s actual boxing gloves, which are thicker, heavier and more padded. the reason why you never use boxing gloves on boxing bags is because the padding in the glove will get compressed and eventually become really really tough. imagine getting hit with one of those gloves! it’ll hurt. that’s why in pro boxing matches, they use brand new gloves.
if your starting out, i say purchase bag gloves, there good for punching bags and focus mitts, there also very light. have fun =]
