Why should i take my pulse/ use a heart rate monitor?
while running and tell me why and how to do this.

Well, I can tell you why my coach thinks you should.
If you want to do like hard days and easy days, you find your resting heart rate, and then you run your hardest, and see that heart rate, then you plan accordingly.
Like if my resting heart rate was 50, and my fastest was 120.
I would do a medium workout, and I would expect a 80-100.
A hard would be 100-120
And a easy would be 60-80
To get your pulse, you count how many beats you have (on your wrist, not with your thumb) in 10 sec. and multiply by 6.
IDK how to use a monitor.
(Personally, I think its crap, because like what if you saw someone you like on an easy run =), or your sick =(, or other reasons, anyways, I don’t like it.)
