How to snap your wrist in volleyball?

I want to make it to my high school volleyball team.
I’m capable of playing it well, but the issue is, I can’t snap my wrist when I serve or it the ball to make it go deep.

Plus, how do you set a ball? I’m mainly a passer and hitter. But I would love to learn how to set. Everytime I set, it spins backwards or justs spins straight in the air.
SOMETIMES I set it straight and sometimes trying to set hurts my middle finger.
Help?

To snap your wrist you flick your wrist so that your middle finger is as close to touching your arm as possible and after you contact the ball you break down your arm (bend your elbow in twards your armpits and then bring it down)

To set first you have to make your hands the correct shape of the ball. You can do this by putting your hands on your hips and freezing your hands and wrists in that position. place your ball shaped hands about an inch above your hairline with your thumbs pointing twards your eyes. Slightly bend your legs and when the ball comes into your hands force your hands (so you look like super man flying) out in the desired direction wail forcing your legs straight untill your are on your tip toes
