I have brace on and I am 19 so…?

Do you have brace during adulthood? I am looking for information about how do adult people with brace during their experience and how long it last to get them off? my ortho told me that adult brace will last short like 5 month to a year but teenager is like 6 month to 30 month with brace on so I want to know how long it last for adult brace. I have 4 gap space on top which isn’t bad but very close together.

Your ortho is half right. The truth is that the amount of time needed is dependent on your teeth. The more straightening you need, the longer it will take. Considering that your ortho actually saw your teeth, I would take his estimate as more accurate than anyone else on this board. I actually had braces as a teen, and it took 4 years, but I’ve known others to have had them for 2 years to 6 years.
