I need some help, I coach an 14 select soccer team. I have a 12 year old boy who has constant knee pain arount the knee cap/patella; the best advice I could give him was to streatch and use cold/hot pads before and after games and practices’ …Is there anything else this kid can do to help him?
Ibuprofen for the pain/swelling/inflammation. Keep it iced and elevated as often as possible. Continuing to play on it will not allow it to heal.
I sympathize, once you damage a joint it will be painful to some extent for the rest of your life and especially as a senior.
