what bottles will fit in mothers milkmate storage rack?

I am thinking of purchasing the Mother’s Milkmate Storage Rack, but I already have a ton of Medela and Evenflo bottles. I don’t want to have to buy all new bottles. Will they fit in the rack? If not, does anyone know of another storage rack that is more universal?

none will. The only commercially available ones that fit are those especially made for the Milkmate Storage Rack. I bought this rack with Child #1, and quickly found it fairly useless as I tried to stockpile expressed milk in the refrigerator/freezer. Before Child #2 was even born, this contraption unfortunately went to the landfill. I was very disappointed. I just don’t think that system is designed for mom’s who hope to store A LOT of breast milk.

For all four of my kids who were breastfed almost two years each, I ended up buying Gerber and Evenflo 8 oz. and 16 oz. bottles in multipacks at Target and storing them in the lid of a copy paper box (I know, VERY fancy!). I kept one in the refrigerator and several in the freezer. It kept the bottles from being bumped, rolling around, falling out, etc. You also need to buy the sealing disks (very cheap). The brands of sealing disks are interchangeable for all the bottles. Just take the nipple out and place the sealing disk in the ring.

Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but maybe you can save some money! Good luck and blessings for continued breastfeeding!……
