I have asked this before but If any gay people can help me I’d appreciate it?
Before I even ask this I want anyone who answers this to know that I love my son with all my heart and would support him come hell or high water but here goes
One of my boys is very mild…crys at the drop of a hat , in other words extremely sensitive
When he is playning Playstation with his brother he always picks the femlae character
His favourite colour is pink and he seems to like girl things , not so much dolls but for example he is fascinated by my wifes shoes
He wears a small pink plastic ring (but he wont wear it to school) ..he hasn’t told us why
last week he was wearing a pair of swimming goggles and putting a blanket through the elastic in the back to imitate a ponytail
I don’t care if he grows up to be gay, Like I said my wife and I worship the ground he and his brother walk on.My question is twofold.1.Are we handling this the right way by just letting him be himself
2.Is it possible to know you’re gay at that age
Well, my best friend who happens to be gay did many of the same things when he was younger.
He built all his lego’s to be female, always played Barbie and ignored Ken, lol.
As well as other things.
Your son could be gay, or he could just be eccentric. More likely gay, but there’s obviously no way to know for certain.
Yes, you are handling things he right way, if you approach him the wrong way on this, he may end up thinking he’s doing something wrong when really he’s just expressing himself.
If you need to approach him on it, choose your words carefully, as you probably already know……….children misconstrude a lot of stuff.
