What should I use to tone down the platinum tones in my hair?

Yesterday I used Jerome Russell’s (B)Blonde highlighting kit to lhighlight my hair, it had been previously coloured with a light ash brown dye, so it wasn’t particularly dark. I left the peroxide/powder bleach solution in my hair for an hour, because the leaflet provided said ‘light brown’ hair can take anything up to an hour to lighten to the desired shade, and I wanted it fairly light, so I left it for the full hour.
My immediate reaction was positive, aside from the fact it needed major conditioning I was happy with the shade of blonde, but this was late at night, and today in daylight I am definitely not liking it, it’s far too light, some parts at the side are almost pure white. I’m stuck with what to do, I’ve done this before & just dyed over the top with an ash brown dye, but I was hoping I’d actually keep the blonde hair for longer than 1 day this time. Can anyone advise me on something to use to tone down the grotesque platinum shade I’m currently stuck with? I’m desperate!

hi as a salon owner and experienced stylist , I must be doing myself out of business but the answer to this is cheap and very simple, go to a Sally’s store or a decent chemist and get a toner of the shade you want,comes in all blone shades so there is one to suit you, do not dye it again whatever you do
it sounds like some of your hair might be porous and it was over processed hence the major conditioning needed
use the toner follow the instructions to the letter, and hey presto a colour you like, it is what a salon would do
also keep it well conditioned for a good while, happy to help
hope you will now like the new you, but be warned do not dye it or bleach it again for a number of months
